Our client within the education sector are seeking to appoint a professional, enthusiastic and skilled Senior IT Technician to provide 1st and 2nd line IT support in and out of the classroom. There are further opportunities to support the IT Services Lead, Infrastructure Lead and Director of Digital Transformation in 3rd line support and projects. This is an exciting opportunity be part of our digital transformation journey moving to the cloud, aiming for excellence and ensuring that the pupils and staff have the very best experience possible.
This is a new opportunity to become part of a growing, busy team supporting an outstanding trust and learning community, which currently includes 5 academies across Portsmouth, Southsea,Cosham and Chichester.
The successful candidate will:
Support the IT helpdesk and in person with 1st and 2nd line tasks
Support the IT Services Lead and Infrastructure lead with 3rd line tasks and projects
Have experience in working in 1st and 2nd line support, preferably in an education environment
Be skilled in troubleshooting
Be self motivated and willing to work independently whilst working with a wider team
Have a full driving license and access to a vehicle as the role will require travel

Our client is seeking a full-time 1st Line Service Desk Engineer for their welcoming and collaborative team, and the role comes with a salary of £20,000 to £25,000 and excellent benefits.


As a 1st Line Service Desk Engineer, you will provide both reactive and proactive customer support. The role operates fully onsite, Monday-Friday. Office hours will be 8 am-6 pm, and the Service Desk team operates a staggered shift pattern to cover these hours.

Azure Solutions Architect

The focus of these roles will be to Architect and design high performance scalable API and Microservices solutions on Microsoft Azure. Working closely with the customer you’ll provide best-fit solutions and guide a technical team to support in delivering agreed solutions. Should have had strong implementation experience in API Management, Data / Application integration and in workload migration and/or large-scale cloud native application.

Skills and Experience needed:

• Azure Certified Solution Architect with deep azure cloud architecture, design and development skills, with overall 12+ years of IT industry experience, and at least 5+ years of working experience with the Microsoft Azure cloud platform
• Hands on experience in architecting, implementation solutions in Azure
• Proficient in defining and implementing Cloud Azure based solution
• Strong development experience on using Azure API Management, Azure LogicApp, Web API, Azure Functions ,Service Bus, Azure Data Factory, Event Grid, Event Hub Azure Kubernetes Service on Azure
• Design, build and configure .Net based Microservice Applications to meet business process and application requirements. Excellent knowledge of .Net Core programming concepts
• Strong Integration /API development experience on .NET and Python platform
• Candidate must bring in expert understanding of cloud computing, PaaS and cloud application design pattern; Deep expertise on Cloud and API/ Services Oriented Architectures with a proven ability to provide consulting and solution roadmaps for large scale cloud transformation, migration and cloud native development on Microsoft Azure platform.
• Collaborate with various cross functional teams to define and determine integration requirements
• Experience as a data architect/analyst
